How do I make Zakat and Sadaqah payments through the app?
To pay Zakat or Sadaqah, log in to the app, go to the Zakat or Sadaqah tab, and:
• Zakat: Use the calculator to determine your amount and select verified beneficiaries.
• Sadaqah: Enter your donation amount and choose beneficiaries to support.
How are beneficiaries verified?
Beneficiaries are verified through a thorough application process, which includes endorsements from trusted Community Leaders. This process ensures that beneficiaries are genuine and meet the eligibility requirements for receiving Zakat.
How does the app ensure my payments are Shariah-compliant?
The app is Shariah-certified and overseen by a Shariah board, ensuring Zakat and Sadaqah payments follow Islamic principles with full transparency on fund distribution.
Can I track my Zakat and Sadaqah contributions?
A new feature will let you set up automatic Zakat and Sadaqah payments on a schedule you choose. It also includes a round-up option, donating spare change from your expenses automatically to charity.
Do I pay any fees when I pay a beneficiary?
We only charge a 2% transaction fee when you pay beneficiaries using Mobile Money. But if you’re sending GHS 1,000 or more, the transaction fee is capped at just GHS 10.
